Chelsea Moriarty
Head of UX Design & Research, Amazon Quick
I've spent 15+ years at the intersection of design craft and design leadership — first as a hands-on designer, now leading the team shaping Amazon Quick, an AI-powered workspace.

At Amazon, I head a global team of designers and researchers building agentic AI experiences across generative search, business intelligence, automation, and productivity. My north star has always been the same: enterprise tools should feel as intuitive and delightful as the best consumer products. Complexity is a solvable design problem.

Before Amazon, I built design practices and shipped digital experiences for brands like Driscoll's Berries, Starbucks, Capital One, Constellation Brands wines, and Universal Parks & Resorts — work that taught me how to connect interaction design and research to real business outcomes like awareness, activation, conversion, and retention.

What I care about most: finding the right problem before solving it, building the team and systems to execute with precision, and making AI genuinely approachable for people who have work to do.

What I do
Expert design leadership — I build and scale design organizations. I hire for craft, develop leaders, and create the conditions for teams to do their best work.
Strategy
Partnering with product, science, and engineering to align on where experience creates the most leverage. Research isn't a phase — it's how we stay honest.
AI Design
Specializing in making powerful AI feel simple. Agentic experiences, intelligent interfaces, and the hard problem of trust and transparency.
Systems
Coherent experiences don't happen by accident — they're built on systems. Design systems, generative UI systems, and outcome-based frameworks that connect what we ship to what actually moves the needle.
Selected Work
A decade of work across consumer and enterprise, from early-stage concepts to products used by millions. Case studies available upon request.
